Sysax Multi Server can be conveniently administered either from the command line or from within other programs and scripts using the administration API. Both local and remote access to the administration API is supported. This document describes how to enable access to the administration API and how the server can be administered using either a command line program or through a COM object.

Open the control panel and click on the "Configure Server ..." button. Next, select the "Web Administration" tab. Select "Enable web based administration and API access". Next, choose "Enable local access to administration API" using the checkbox. If remote API access is required, check "Enable remote access to administration API". A username and password must be specified for remote access to the administration API. This username and password will be used both for remote access to the administration API and for remote web based administration.

Local access to the administration API is supported in the professional or enterprise edition of Sysax Multi Server while remote access to the administration API is supported in the enterprise edition.
