Is there a way to run sftp and ftp at the same time. Is there away to give on user account shell access only but give all other user sftp only?

Yes, you can run as many of the following protocols at the same time in the enterprise edition of the product:
ftp, ftps, sftp, ssh shell, telnet, http and https file access. If you are using custom user accounts, then you will have the ability to enable multiple protocols and then retrict access for specific accounts based on protocol.

I need to use windows authentication and be able to offer multiple protocols. Does the demo version work the same as the enterprise. If not how can I demo the enterprise version?

You can offer multiple protocols with windows authentication. However, you currently cannot selectively disable a protocol for a specific windows account. The demo version only allows a single protocol to be enabled at a time. You could potentially enable the protocols you need one at a time and verify access. The other alternative is to purchase an enterprise edition license. All our products come with a full 30 day money back guarantee.

When will you be able to allow the use of a certain protocol with a windows account. There is a beta up on your site, will that have this capability? Can I have ssh with your user account and have sftp with
windows and so on? This would be helpful. Also how many connections can the server support at a time? Is it limited to desktop heaps in windows?

I checked with our developers and it looks like we are going to have a "Use both windows and custom accounts" option and one of the settings is (if the same account name exists in both windows and custom accounts) to authenticate using windows but get all the other options from the custom account. So this will enable you to accomplish the restriction of windows accounts to specific protocols. The beta release that supports this will be available late this week or early next week.
And yes, if you are running the enterprise edition, the connections are only limited by the machine/os limits.

Do you know what os version have approx. what limitations? I was trying the beta copy out there and I could not get to the http configuration page. I put in the user account and password in the system and it would
not connect. Does it need to be a windows account or can you make your own up on the fly for that account.
Also what version of sftp is it? Does it support utf8 file encoding so I can backup for example chinese or russin charecters for example?

I checked with our developers and it looks like the browser interfaces is disabled for this beta. The should be available on the next release which should also contain windows and custom accounts option. The release is scheduled for Monday.
For the administrative browser interface, you need to set a username and password in the "configure server" dialog box. For the http/https access to transfer files, it should be the same as setting up a regular ftp account.
The product is designed to be very lightweight on the use of OS resourses. It supports multiple user connections on a single thread for most cases whereas most other windows ftp server programs always consume one or more threads for a sinle user connection. What is the server load that you expect for the server?
UTF8 encoding is currrently not supported but I believe the development team has a shheduled release later in the year that supports UTF8. I have to double check on this but I believe the product uses SSH2 version 4 for SFTP.

The latest product release from our website should now support all of the features I mentioned before in addition to the browser interfaces being enabled.
I tried it and the browser still does not work . Please advise.

For the administration browser interface:
First of all, please make sure you uninstalled the previous version of the product before installing the new version.
Next, please make sure that you clicked on the "configure server" button and enabled the "enable web based administration" checkbox and have typed in a username and password for access. I would suggest that you type in a fresh user name and password and save. Please also make sure that you select a port that is not being used by another program installed on your computer.
For the file transfer browser interface (HTTP or HTTPS), please double check if the port you selected is not being used by another program. You should be able to access the file transfer interface using http://localhost: or http://localhost:
