What windows OS are you running? Also, is there other server software installed on the system listening at the same port?

I using XP Pro. Port 21 is open, but I don't believe I have any other software listening on the same port. How can I verify this? Also I using XP Pro. I'm doing some research on how to turn it off.  I found it. Under Computer management. I am now able to start your server. Don't mean I know how to use it, but its the first step.
